we are currently receiving an increasing number of reports of attempted fraud in the form of phishing messages via WhatsApp and email directed at hotel guests.

Fraudsters are apparently sending emails and WhatsApp messages that appear to be related to a booking at our hotel.

Those affected report that these messages ask them to verify their booking details, make changes to their reservations, confirm their credit card details, etc. These messages do not originate from us as a hotel, but from fraudsters. This can usually be recognized by the sender numbers, which mostly originate from Asian countries (e.g., India).

It is currently assumed that irregularities have occurred on the Booking.com platform.

As a hotel, we do not use WhatsApp to communicate with guests and would never ask you to make changes to your booking or make payments via this or any other electronic means.

Please report any suspicious requests to Booking.com immediately and do not disclose any further information if you receive such a request.
